I remember one poll which said 59% of Americans wanted the public option, and yet there is no public option. It would be nice if we had a democracy/republic instead of a de facto corporate plutocracy.

The bill can be signed but it will still need to become law. That will not happen if at all until after Jan 12th. So we will see.

I've seen polls that say the opposite. The Constitutionality of the issue is what is being talked about so your thread title is misleading at best.

It would seem that too many laws get passed against the will of the people due to Pork Barrel Politics. The practice should be banned, and each issue should be decided on it's own merrits. I think the encroachment of all to plentiful federal laws would be thinned by quite a-bit.
