Merry Christmas to all my Subsim friends and enemies. You may not believe in Jesus but I still wish you the very best in the coming new year.

Ironically enough in its own right (in the sense of it being incorporated into what is generally considered by people to be a "Christian" holiday), "Yule" refers to the Scandinavian Pagan ritual of hosting a winter festival and feast every year immediately after the solstice took place, ending a short time after January began. For that matter, December 25th has long been held as a time for worshiping sun gods throughout various religions, including Sol, Elah-Gabal, and Mithra (who is essentially a parallel of Jesus deriving his roots in Persia and the Roman Empire 600 years before the time of Jesus and the apostles). Just some fun facts.

And happy holidays.:salute:

There is a yule log as well.

We humans do some of the strangest things.

In traditional British rural culture, the Yule log was not only seen as a magical (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_%28paranormal%29) protective amulet, and there are many reports of rivalries occurring between members of a community as to who had the largest log.
