First, let me say, "Hi there." I'm pretty new to SH3, and am just in love with this game--especially the GWX Gold mod, with various other mods added. So, good to be here with you all.
I am having a problem with this site. Every time I try to download a file, whether I just downloaded, or haven't downloaded anything in 24 hours, I get this message saying I am trying to download too fast and must wait 2, or 3 seconds. But I can wait until the cows come home and I still get the same message. What's up wit dat?:wah:

I don't know, and if anyone is supposed to know it's me. But I just organize the mods, don't really know too much about how it works. Nobody else seems to have had the problem (that I'm aware of, which doesn't mean much). Hopefully someone will be along soon who knows a little bit about how websites work and can give some real advice.

Meanwhile, WELCOME ABOARD!:sunny:

If you are using a download accelerator, disable it and try again. Some sites will not work with them.

What file/files in particular are you having difficulty downloading nodlew? :hmmm:

Hey, thanks for your responses. Any file, is the answer to your question. I had this problem when trying to download, for ex., the config files to make GWX work with SH3 Commander. I also had trouble trying to download submarine skins. It sucks to have this site, which is pretty much The Site for SH3 downloads, and to have so much trouble downloading files. As far as the download manager is concerned--I'm not using one per se. I do have a Firefox plug-in which keeps track of downloads and allows me to pause and resume them. Maybe I should disable that and try a download.
Strange that I am the ONLY person that this has happened to. That's an internet first for me.

Merry Christmas.
Peace on Earth,
Good will toward men.
Also women.
Hermaphrodites as well.
Why not throw in the entire animal kingdom,
excluding house flies and parasites.
No good will for them.
Ill will, rather.

It looks like your problems are down to issues with either the plug-in or your computer settings.

Disable FF plug-in and if that doesn't work try downloading wth Internet Explorer.

I think Jim is correct. I use firefox and have problems with certain web sites; there is a firefox plugin that allows you to open the page in IE. When I have a problem, I do this and it solves the problem.

Disabling Firefox Addon Download Status Bar seems to correct the problem.

I lied. One download worked, now I still have the "Slow down! You're trying to download too fast." Message.

If I didn't have problems, I'd think I wasn't me, but someone else.

To the left near my icon, the site claims I have downloaded 53 times. Would that that were so. In fact, given my download problems, I have only successfully downloaded from Subsim SH3 four or five times. But I think I have attempted to download probably about 53 times. As it is, I have more or less given up downloading from this site. I google, download from BTS. Sucks.
