Anyone using the paid version of Malwarebytes' Anti Malware? Doesn't seem you can get a trial. How is the realtime protection? What kind of resource/mem footprint does it have? [am getting fed up with Spybot S&D which is now using 128meg memory]

I use malwarebytes for free, no problems. My "trail" version doesn't run in the background, so while there's no real time protection it also doesn't take up any memory. When ever I run a scan though it seems to pick on things quite well.

If you want free antivirus that is effective and has a low memory footprint - go with avast.

Also using the free version and find it to be very effective. I only use the program once in a while, after I do a virus scan I will enable, update, and scan. It is highly recommended and efficient at finding things that others miss.

Tks. I use Avast AV and it works well, likewise Malwarebytes' AW. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with Malwarebytes' real-time protection (in particular its resource footprint) which only seems to be available with the paid version.
