It could have been a sign," Gordon Repinski wrote for SPIEGEL Online. "The audience picked a dog. The victor ran away. Maybe it's time to start reading books again."

I hope so. Never before has TV been so crappy, like these days.

At least this time Dieter Bohlen will not have a chance to flood the market with another under-talented wanna-be sing-star selling noise in CD jewel cases. For that alone the dog deserves a cookie.

The reality show has completey dumbed down television beyond any level that I ever thought possible. It seems that they're catering to people who don't have any functioning brain cells.

The main problem is that relaity shows cost pennies to make compared to other shows so they can be made super cheap and are therefore mass produced because there are idiots out there who watch them. The problem with super mass production is that EVERYTHING gets the green light nomatter how dumb and crappy it is.

Heck, VH1, and MTV, and E! are 99% reality shows. The main networks, like ABC, CBS, FOX, etc, are maybe 50% or more reality shows when they aren't running cop, doctor, or copdoctor shows.

The thing that REALLY sux now is that when something comes along that is actually good, it usually costs more than a reality show and ends up being for more of a niche market so it flops because it doesn't bring in the ratings of a reality show which for some reason crosses a lot more demographics. :nope:
