Hi, I finally got my SH4 disk repaired, re-installed on administrator for Vista and have installed v1.4 (which i assumed was the latest patch).
I also did something new, I installed JGSME and plan on using some MODs. However, when I went to look at RFB and RSRDC, I noted that it said compatible with 1.5.. I took this to mean that there is a new patch out there, however I have yet to find it.. Where can I find v1.5 to download, I would really like to use RFB and try out the new campaigns.
Thanks,
Krauter

v1.5 is the official version of the U-Boat Missions expansion; I don't believe they ever released a standalone v1.5 patch, so if there were any bugfixes between 1.4 and the expansion, you'll either need to get your hands on UBM or turn to the community to see exactly what changed aside from the addition of the German campaign. :)

Patch 1.5 is only available with the U-Boat Missions update pack. The best way to get it is by buying SH4 Gold, which includes the fully updated patched version. It's very cheap these days, and if you buy it using this link you help support SubSim!

OK :).. I'm just wondering if I need 1.5 to run TMO/RFB/RSRDC,etc or are they compatible with 1.4 as well.
Sorry if I'm sounding like an idiot, but when I read their descriptions I took it that you needed 1.5 only to run and if your running 1.4 ur SOL

There's a few 1.4 compatible mods out there, but most are for 1.5. 1.5 does fix a lot of things for the game, so it's worth getting. Oh and how did you fix your disc then?:06:

Thanks :).. I am on the page showing all 1.4 compatible mods.. but he's got so many listed for one mod.. I'm going to try RSRDC w/ optionnal RFB
Hopefully I can get the November/Foxtrot Mod to work with 1.4 as well
Haha, I took an old glasses cleaner rag (not sure of material) swiped the disk with it, and looked for any defects on it.

Well I found the RSRDC campaign + RFB (i think.. not sure the guy has so many bloody options for DL..) as well as the Ohio and Skipjack Mods. I DL them, activate them via JGSME and..
Kaput.. I might as well be running 1.4 normally. There are 0 changes. Did I instal them wrong??
For each, I downloaded into (C:\ Program Files\Ubisoft\SH4\MODS\(appropriate title)
What am I doing wrong.. I just want to play the game with some good tweaks..
Also, for the 3 files I have on JGSME, when I go to explore them I get the message
"C:\ProgramFiles\Ubisoft\SilentHunter4 Wolves of the Pacific\MODS\(appropriate name) refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer, or on a network. Check to make sure that the disk is properly inserted, or that you are properly connected to the Internet or your network and then try again. If it still cannot be located, the information might have been moved to a different location."
Even though.. it is still in my MODS folder -.-'

 Make sure you unzip the mods before placing them in the folder ... else JGSME cannot indentify the mods you're trying to install and activate. Also, be advised that most 1.4 mods are no longer supported by the guys who wrote them. They all seem to have moved on (even though some went kicking and screaming) to the U-Boat upgrade.

Well looks like you installed JSGME right by the file path. Check the mods themselves, the first folder should be in the MODS folder and named after said mod. The next folder inside should be the Data folder.
So to recap it should look like this MODS\RFB\Data. And if you like the Ohio and Skipjack, check out my Los Angeles class boat too.
