Do they really happen in the game? Its Feb 20,1944 and I'm hangin around Iwo Jima and nothing is happening...Am I wasteing time?

I'm not sure how many are scripted in stock, but several are. If you want accurate scripted battles, RSRD has them all, plus many smaller ones. Not sure what you're looking for around Iwo in feb of 44, did you mean 45. However, there were no major sea battles during Iwo.

The battle of the Phillippine Sea is coming up in June of 44, a great battle to partake in if you have RSRD, not sure about stock.

Even in 45, the JP's didn't send any large surface forces to the battle of Iwo, but I did run into a large US TF.

In SHIV U-Boat Missions, in career mode they are :

- Pear Harbor attack : this historic meeting did not take place at the right time because there is an error of dates in the script.

In my opinion, these meetings are mostly botched regarding orders of battle japanese and the composition of escorts.

Gibus, not speaking your language I couldn't understand most of the changes at the link. However it sounds like it may be a mod like Run Silent Run Deep that corrected the battles and convoys to be more historically accurate, including correcting the shps. In most of the battles that RSRD reworked the ships are totally accurate, along with correct dates, locations, ect.

Did you add the Pearl Harbot attack in your mod?

If you are familiar with RSRD....how is you mod different...and do you have a english readme on your site.

I bet you could put together a mod package with all the things you want and still use RSRD. I run several, a few tweaked. If you want, list your mods and maybe we can figure out something that will work.

Sometimes I'll pull out elements of bigger mods, just to get one item.

The problem is bud that I have changed almost everything in RFB1.4 to suite me...I probably need to start with a new RFB or TMO etc and RSRD.What combo would you suggest? Here are my mods..

This mod is compatible SH4 v1.4 + Add-On "U-Boat Missions.

This mod 16MB installed with Jsgme.

It aims to integrate new historic meetings in career mode U.S. camp, between American and Japanese and the opportunity to complete or correct the existing games in the game for their historical accuracy (order of battle, itineraries, dates, etc. ...).
It also integrates new units:
- Aircraft carriers ZUIKAKU (Shokaku class)
- Aircraft carriers UNYO (Taiyo class)
- Battleship HARUNA (Kongo class)
- Heavy Cruiser MYOKO (NACHI class)
- Destroyer KAGERO class
- Battleship NAGATO class

Order:
MOD completes the original file minefields and netting submarines, particularly around the main base where the ship stayed at anchor: Truk, Tawi Tawi, Lingga.

Gibus have you looked at the changes made in RSRD mod? I'm not sure what you've added that it doesn't, maybe you could clarify. RSRD corrects all the same battles and 1000 convoys, added many ships, planes and another 100 changes. Just trying to figure out what you have done different.

RSRD has over 370MB of changes.

Doe's it work with any of the supermods like TMO. I may want to compare it to RSRD.

I think he is saying he just found that RSRD exist, and that he created his mod for the same reason lurker created RSRD.

Also, you have to register at his site, had to do the same here, so no difference, both are free, both require you to be a member...so why be shocked...

Two things. Interested in your reply to Clayps question, and because I am very new here, and without a long disertation, but only a quick sentence or two, what is the difference between RFB and RSRD? And a quick 3rd. What do feel is being used more, PE4 or RE?

I use TMO 1.9...overall it's my favorite. Here is my complete mod set up. I had to tweak a few files to deal with conflicts that concerned me. I've got others I plan to load when I feel assured they aren't messing up other things.

Mods like RFB..Real Fleet Boat, or TMO..Trigger Maru Overhauled, change game play options, things like sensors, way the sub functions, add graphics, 100's of game play related things.

RSRD..Run Silent Run Deep..Basically changes the convoy layers and structures. For instance, Task Forces will be more historically correct in the path they take, amount and type of ships. You'll see realistic convoys of 30-50 ships, instead of the small convoys in stock. It also adds planes, extra ships, ect...just read the readme in the previous post.

I do not know yet RSRD. Do you have a link for the download? I'd be happy to try it.

I explained to my MOD:
The first version of 2007 because I saw that meetings for SH4 were poor.
In fact, at first it was a mission pack for careers. Then we played these missions in multiplayer.
At that time, we could not play with Rel Trigger Maru because the game (in multiplayer) was not enough fluid.
Then, in May or June 2009, TMO 1.7 is published. We tested it and it is very stable for the multiplayer. So I wrote another MOD to be compatible with TMO 1.7, with new Japanese ships (Myoko, Kagero, Nagato, Zuikaku, Unyo, Haruna). We play with two to three times per week in multiplayer.

The first MOD has continued his life with SH4 U-Boat Missions only. Subsequently, it has also benefited the new ships.

That is the genesis.

My MOD does not want to be a competitor RSRD. I have suggested a link because I did not know the existence of RSRD.

1) Are you using the correct RSRDC mentioned - version RSRDC_TMO_V502?

2) When you say "Conflicts", are you referring to pop-up conflicts in JSGME? If the mod is the correct one you can ignore those and go ahead and activate it. That notice only means that RSRDC changes some of the same files as TMO changed. If the RSRDC is correctly done (and I'm sure it is - then it will work as advertised, with no problems.

You will get many conflicts when mods overwrite mods...that's a standard.
You should be OK if the mods works together.

Some conflicts may cause problems with mods that don't work together, those are the ones I tweak. How to know the difference takes comparing files, ect...But you should be OK with conflicts for any mods stated to work together. However, the best thing to do is follow the readme for the supermod you're using and only add mods approved by the maker unless you're comfortable with files, ect. However, they're many mods that usually work OK, just trust the maker, have back ups, ect. If you notice problems...back it out and pray your game will be OK.

Guys think I may have found something.....Started the game and it was running fine...Went to the map view and started TC at 512 TC game crashed..Does this sound possible?....

I'd start with these as a good base and add others one at a time to make sure they work o.k.

Start with the four listed above :up: run the game and see if its stable before adding any more mods :D

I agree, TMO is not set up yet for maxoptics that I know of. I thought beard faces was for Uboats, not TMO. Also, the remove grain effect isn't needed, it's already corrected and could cause problems. The Ant isn't needed, frankly, most of those mods aren't for TMO.

Use only Mods that state they work with TMO 1.9.

njack does have a maxoptics SCAF beta for 1.9

I would start with just TMO and RSRD, make sure that works before adding more.

I've been running the max optics 1.7 fix with TMO 1.9 so far so good. Although I'm sure there may be some side effects I have not seen yet but no crashes. Looking forward to an update.

Bud I put those folders back in and it still wont load..I'm done messin with it,I'll just play with my own mod..Thanks to all that tried to help.....Happy New Year to all.....:D
