Medal question

I am not a bad skipper, I reward my folks even down to seaman level if I can.
Is it possible to save Iron Crosses earned in one mission and pass them out in a later mission or do I lose them if I don't use them?

Nope, use 'em or lose 'em. If you use SH3 Commander, though, you can pass out as many as you want, any time you want. Great for rewarding the entire crew the U-Boat Badge after that second patrol.:rock:

I use SH3Cmdr for a lot of reasons - but one of the main reasons is for crew management.

At the end of a patrol, I may have up to half my crew eligible for promotions, many having completed the required two war patrols eligible for the War Badge, and anyone who didn't have his Quals before shipping out (new crew with zero experience) needing one. In stock SH3, you may get ONE promotion, and ONE specialization, and no one under Bootsmann having any specialization.

With SH3Cmdr, I can do ALL the above for any and all crew that require it - in addition to awarding any medals I think the patrol warrants. Not to mention a TON of other tweaks .......
