Black Screen!

just reinstalled SH4 with U-Boat on Windows 7 64Bit (Quad core nvidia GTX 285 with newest drivers)but i get only a black screen!
I can see the UBI and intro movie, then the loeading screen but then SH4 goes to a black screen and i have to end the programm with the task manager!
Anyone here stumbled over a similar problem?

On the previous Vista 64 installation SH4 was running without problems!!

Try loading DX off the game disc, it doe's need that to work and has problems with newer versions. You can have multiple installs that will read correctly

MMM, Windows 7, haven't heard much feedback with people playing the game, you may want to do a forum search.

I encountered the same problem today, tried deleting the intro movies but no dice.

Then i read somewhere that it helps to delete the driver profile for SH4 (Nvidia Control Panel -> Manage 3D Settings -> Program Settings).

I did this and it works like a charm.

sometimes your driver download gets corrupted or the nvidia drivers differ enough to not upgrade properly without uninstalling the old driver first.

download the new nvidia driver straight from the nvidia website and then uninstall your nvidia driver using "add/remove programs" then go to the programs directory and delete the nvidia folder to remove the leftover corrupted driver files.

reinstall the new driver it should work fine :up:
