View Full Version : Interior Lighting question

As some of you might've noticed, your interior lighting (of the sub of course) will flash on and off with different intervals. And only during some stages of your patrol.

My question; is there a meaning to flashing/flickering lights? Does a certain flash-sequence mean something?

Thanks in advance =)

I always wrote it off as some kind of artifact/graphical glitch :hmmm:

Of course during a depth charging they'll flicker because of damage and/or the explosions going off outside the hull.

Not too sure what you`re refering to, apart from changing from white to red light and flickering on/off when you take damage ive never noticed any lighting changes.

It's Bernard, he's always messing with the wiring, has some crazy idea about something he calls 'Disco', personally, I doubt it'll ever catch on.

Note: if he asks you to touch his monkey and it sounds like a good idea, it's definitely time to head back to base.

If you have "Saved" after receiving Hull Damage, when you re-enter the game the lights will flicker on and off, along with glass breaking sounds. This is to remind you that you have sustained Hull Damage. The more Hull Damage, the more flickering and glass breaking!

Good lhunting!

Moin,

there´s a 'LightEffect' controller tied to 'AmbientLightCR' node. This one contains different light effects to play on certain events. These 'effects' are no real effects but a sequence of time/intensity values.

Thanks all, for the replies.

The lights do not flash/flicker like they would when sustaining damage. There's no glass-breaking.
It's just a sequenced on/off, and keeps doing that. Quite annoying after a while!

Hi, I think it's a video or somewhat problem, it happens also to me, but only in IXb.. the other U-boot are fine. If I remember well (but I'm not sure) it started when I decreased the particle density in the video option menů.
