..and across from Radiology, there is a collection of pictures marked as being part of an art collection. One of the paintings was entitled: "Corpsman on the Flight Deck of the Lexington," by Julian Livi, and it really looked like one of the icons you get once you get a certain post count in these forums. Is it possible I saw the original painting? (I'd actually noticed this painting, before, but thought it was a copy, but it appears to be the original).
EDIT: A quick Google image search didn't bring it up, if you're asking why I'm not posting a photo of it.

You mean that one?

(the URL is http://www.history.navy.mil/ac/artist/artists.htm, but strangely enough it doesn't show on the page but only on the link from Google image search.)
It's by Julian Levi ("First Aid on Carrier Flight Deck"), so Google didn't fool you ;) Quite fitting for a hospital, but frankly I don't want to see that guy more often than necessary :DL
BTW, are you in hospital right now?

Yeah, that's the one!!!! Though the title was different!!!
Nope, I'm not in (the) hospital, thank god. I've been in hospitals a fair amount, and don't care to go back if I don't have to. However, I am at Bethesda pretty much every week for one reason or another, not necessarily medical.

Why would a corpsman be wearing whites when he's on the job?

Yea sure, mess with the medic and see what happens when you get hurt.

He wouldn't.
I'm sure that having to read between the lines of the american media for so many years made at least a small contribution to your powers of observation.

Well, supposedly the image is from an aircraft carrier, and I thought they already had color coded shirts for the deck crew. Maybe that's what a medic would wear.

This is a no ****ter, our second corpsman we had while I was onboard told us this one. On one of his previous boats this one guy would always give a hard time to him where ever they were. So one day this guy goes in for a prostate exam, who's he get but that very corpsman. Long story short, he had his prostate milked instead of examined. :har:

According to my Blujackets Manual corpsman don't have a colored shirt for the flight deck. So I'm gonna file this one under propaganda/recruitment.
