Also i have 2333.97 renown after 6 patrols in the mederteranain.

I am using a v11b u boat which i quite like but im bored of the mederteranian , all i seem to do is sink merchant ships.

I have printed a convoy route map and am thinking lets have some proper warfare . Where u guys think i should go next .

If you're looking for task forces (battleships and the like) they're a rare sight. You have to keep in mind that the number one goal of the U-boats in WW2 was to sink merchant shipping. In any given career, no matter where you are stationed, I'd say 95 to 98% of your tonnage is going to come from merchant shipping.

That being said, I've found the convoy route from England to the Strait of Gibraltar (the one along the off of the Spanish and Portuguese coasts) to be a nice place to try and intercept convoys/task forces. Stay a couple hundred km off the mouth of Gibraltar, and you should catch a lot of what goes in and out. You may also see a battleship or escort carrier in the middle of a convoy, if you're lucky.

Of course, if you're itching to sink a battlewagon, you can scratch that itch by firing up one of the single missions.

As for your question on waypoints: Shift + Del will remove all waypoints, and Ctrl + Left Click will insert a waypoint between the selected waypoint and next waypoint. And (I believe, I could be wrong on this) Shift + Left Click will delete every waypoint after the one that you clicked.

Sammy, what are you thinking, man?

If you mean that you are going to Spain in Real Life but for a limited time, don't spend your evenings playing SH3 unless you are being held prisoner in your hotel or resort. Foreign travel is a wonderful opportunity to exerience new things. Don't squander it.

To access your radio messages, press the 'M' key.

Learn and use the keyboard commands. There is a map of keyboard commands in the Documentation subfolder under the folder in which SH3 is installed. Also, if you press the <F1> key, you can get help on most keyboard commands.

Where should you go to find some "proper warfare"? I think you should go back to commander school and re-learn the bit about the proper role for a u-boat being to attack merchant ships and avoid warships.

Attacking convoys is certainly part of a u-boat's job. It will give you a lot of action in a short period of time when you find one. mookiemoookie's advice is good. Also, early in the war you might want to consider the North Channel (north end of Irish Sea), but stay in water deep enough for you to be able to reach your maximum depth.

Hahah thanks a lot for the excellent advice . I am going to spain in real life but will only use my comp late at night when they r asleep ( drunk probably ).
Thanks for the keyboard commands they will be very usefull.

I am allready seeing a lot more action in the atlantic west coast of scotland seems really good . I have just sunk 3 merchants travveling in a convoy for 10000 tonnes which is my best trip yet .

I suppose you are right about killing merchants and avoiding warships i guess its just exciting having to go deep and hide lol

Thanks for all advice cyaz on the 27th dec Merry xmas
