play gwx3 without disc

i prefer to play my games with no-cd patches, as my drive has a horrible noise, is this possible with sh3 and gwx3?
ad where do i find one, i have a no-cd patch but it overwrite some files that might already be modified by gwx3.

GWX has not altered any files that may or may not be contained within the file set you are wanting to use. ;)

As of patch 1.4b you dont need the SH3 cd in the drive to play it. I've been playing GWX 3.0 without my SH3 dvd in the drive since I installed it.

And I was playing Stock SH3 without the cd before GWX.

that was strange as I got a message to enter my serial code, but perhaps that was just the first time after I reinstalled it.

Yep, that's the way I did it. Was in a local office store and saw SH3 and SH2 bundled for ten American bucks. Bought it right away and haven't inserted the disc since.
