Need help, SH4Gold and FOTRS mod .. exterior camera ?

Hello
i did not find an explicit "Fall of the rising sun" subforum, so ..

It is not a problem, however after applying this mod to SH IV with the U-Boat add-on ("1.5 patch") the command keys have changed a bit SH 3 style, which is not bad at all since i am used to SH3 much more ...

I usually play with exterior view on, for screenshots and graphics, but it does not seem to work here - F12 brings me to the exterior camera, but there were those "." and "," switch commands that followed the sub, or even distant ships in exterior view - and those keys do not work anymore.

Now i have heard i should uninstall the FOTRS mod via JSGME, change a commands.cfg file, and then re-intsall the mod again to make thise commands work - but it does not change anything, still not possible to get the exterior camera view that follows the sub. The options in the main menu and in the campaign are set to swicth exterior view on, so ... any idea ?

ok there's that "Commands.cfg" in the \data\cfg folder.
You do not have to disable a mod, and enable it again.
Just apply any mod you like, go to this commands.cfg file and look for command lines [Cmd50] and [Cmd51] and remove the ";".

When you have removed those ";", you can then use those exterior camera view keys again.


Edit: Does anyone know how to activate the Backspace toggle command for pausing the sim ? In SH3 and standard SH4 repeatedly pressing would pause the game, and again pressing Backspace would return to 1x.

This also does not work anymore, but it would be really practical for screenshots - now you have to go down right with the mouse, and press "-" takes too much time.
