Does having both scopes up during a submerged patrol change the spotting percents?

Does adjusting your depth to minimize scope exposure matter to the AI or is periscope exposed the same detection chances regardless.

Player sub hydrophones do not detect if the sub is surfaced, but AI escorts can listen while on the surface. If player sub is surfaced can escorts still detect you by listening or will that be visual/radar only?

Playing 1.5 +RFB 1.52 +RSRD 5.75

Thank you very much for any insight.

i dont think so, im pretty sure they show as one

yes and no, the game doesnt really "see" anything so it judges things be sensors mostly. what i mean by that is if your scope is low enough it "may" not register as being up and go undetected but most things with the game are all or nothing, your completely detected or your not.

the explanation above answers this too, the radar "sees" you

Two periscopes are no better than one.

Raise the scope using the page up and down keys (Attack scope) or insert/delete keys(observation scope). Raise it just far enough to brake the surface and you can see well, It does make a difference.

As far as I know IJN sonar will not track you on the surface, your above the cone of detection.

Webster types faster than I do and in color! :yeah:
He knows more about this game than I ever will, so I'd go with his reply.
