A controversial Scottish brewery has launched what it described as the world's strongest beer - with a 32% alcohol content.

Tactical Nuclear Penguin has been unveiled by BrewDog of Fraserburgh.

BrewDog was previously branded irresponsible for an 18.2% beer called Tokyo, which it then followed with a low alcohol beer called Nanny State.

One of you guys on that side of the pond need to go get one of these and give us a review.

I live about 30 miles away from there.

I'd buy it just for the name...Tactical Nuclear Penguin.

Apparently it is rather undrinkable. Thick like syrup with a burn like whisky.

Fantastic! :yeah: I'm with Xabba, I'd get it just for the name!

Still, the Scots know their spirits, so this oughta be an experience :salute:

Okay, it is a bit unfamiliar on your tongue, but what do you mean by "undrinkable"...?

I want to get a case of the "Nanny State" just because of the name :haha:

Undrinkable as in its not a pleasant taste and you wouldn't have another.

At 32% it can't be a proper beer anyway. Yeast only allows for 12%, else it has to be distilled. Definitely nothing that would fall under the German Reinheitsgebot :DL (though the name does sound intriguing ...)

32% eh.....sounds like watered down Bells or Teachers :DL

Managing director James Watt said a limited supply of Tactical Nuclear Penguin would be sold for £30 each.

Besides....who could afford the price....it is Scotland after all :haha:

I suppose they need something to stop them thinking about living in Scotland.:D. Dunno why the Whisky isn't enough.:hmmm:

It might actually not be distilled. Ive heard of some "turbo yeast" yielding around 23% perhaps they have took it a step up

If you like strong things, EKU 28 isn't bad either:
