I cannot seem to play SH3 with Windows 7. As soon as I click on the icon to play I get the Protection system window that says "Application installed correctly. Reboot the computer to complete the installation. Continue?"

Then it has yes and no buttons. I click yes to reboot then nothing happens at startup. I click on the icon again and I keep getting the same protection system- its continuous. Anyone have any suggestions??

STARFORCE STRIKES AGAIN. The easiest solution is to get the disc without starforce and install the game outside of the program files.

I fully concur, it is much less hasle to get a new disc, i got one from Ebay for £5 and solved any issues I had with SH3 and Vista.

A top tip though, if you buy a new SH3 game it will probobly already be patched to version 1.4, dont do what I did and spent 2 days wondering why i couldnt install the 1.4 EMEA patch into the SH3 folder :damn:

Since overcoming this problem I have so far installed Sh3 & GWX onto 8 of my mates laptops including Vista & Windows 7, just make sure you run your resolution at the correct settings for Windows 7 or get the resloution fix from the downloads section

After almost 2 years of trying to work around first vista, and now win 7 problems, I broke down and went to direct to drive and bought a new copy for a whopping 10 beens.
Installed that (came at 1.4), added a bit of GWX3, and suddenly I feel alot like those pirates I was overseas hunting!!
