Well, it is complicated. What is happening is that your menu1024_768.ini file is calling for an object but it can't be found. (in this case, I think, a part of a dial)
This is usually due to mod screwups.
Deactivate all mods that have this file in them, and then run the game to see if it is OK. If so, start adding mods back until you find the offender.

well....it seems you are right....as soon as I enable GWX integrated orders......I get the error msg.....Is this because integrated orders mod is corrupted? I like that mod and would like to use it...

Totally depends on the other mods you have.

If the menu_ini from the Integrated Orders mod can't find a certain file then another mod has probably removed or renamed it.

Do you have any other mods that change the Uboat Interface at all? Be it Dials, Icons, Periscope/Obs layout, slideout compass etc.......

No ....actually I dont....this is a totally new install ......I have only four mods that were enabled.....GWX 16k sea less reflect....Fubars VIIC U253 skin....and a water stream mod that wasnt even working for some reason....so...I dont see how these could be conflicting....

GWX integrated orders works with GWX3.0. One of the other mods either, as danlisa said, removed the sought object, or renamed it.

I don't have the file sets to hand at the moment but it should be easy enough to locate the suspect file.

Using the Item ID number that the error throws up you can open the menu_ini in Notepad, hit Ctrl+F and enter the ID number. This will take you to the block which contains that information. From this block you can find the TGA file which is missing or altered.

Do this to the Integrated Orders & Default menu_ini files to compare differences.

If the IO mod was corrupted, you would receive numerous errors about missing ID's. I know, I've been there. ;)

Well it appears that the file itself is corrupt as even when this is the only mod activated....I get the errors....and its not only the one file ..it is three of them...0x3f01022....25.....and ..26.... So ....is it possible to just replace the entire mod rather than try and find each file? Rick

Yes, it is.
What you need to do is install a second SilentHunterIII/GWX on your computer, and make a copy. Keep this pristine and use it to reinstall all or part of your playing install when needed, or to install a different super mod. Use MultiSH3 to do this.

Right, checked the files.

The file set causing the problem is the Large Slide out Compass.

The Menu_ini of the IO mod can't find the following files in your GWX install:

ZeigerKompass.tga
Richtung.tga
Glas1.tga

The normal location go these are : data/menu/gui/Layout/

Now, they are all included within the IO Mod and, more importantly, a default install of GWX 3.0 (that's 100%, I put them there). In this instance don't assume the IO mod is corrupt, it's more likely that your GWX file set is, umm, borked. :(

MD5 check the GWX files to ensure integrity.

Also, there were instructions floating around for the removal of the Larger Sliding compass. Have you made any other changes?

No...as I said, this was a new install via parallels 4 on my Mac....so I am a little confused now....how do I go about fixing this......or am I going to have to do a complete reinstall........this really depresses me as I worked like hell just to get the thing running via parallels....and now this wrench in the works.....just goes to show you.......its always something.......

Well, I never used a MAC, so I can't tell you. Probably the easiest thing to do is remove the compass. Hitman has a mod to add a different compass; perhaps if you use this, your install will be OK. Also, some of the new GUI's have completely different interfaces and installing one of these might 1)add to the game, and2) solve your problem.
I still suggest you install a second SH3 setup, as this avoids a lot of these problems, and makes it much easier to correct corrupted files
Danlisa also pointed out a little problem if you don't use the MD5 checker to insure that your files are correct on download. Usually, the install won't work if there is a corrupted file, but not always.

Might be a stupid question...but where is the MD5 checker....?
