I'm new

Have had this for a couple of years and recently installed after having read Sam Kershaw's latest "Escape from the deep" and am having difficulty getting started. The book that came with the game seems a little light on info for newbies. Is there another alternative for getting a little more instruction?

Another frickin' rag on the excellent game manual thread! Will it ever end? After all the great work the developers did over months and months of meticulous rewrites to give us the best manual for any computer game in history!

Why, after I ran my manual through the paper shredder it made the finest kitty litter I've ever made. Beat newspaper in every way. My cat especially appreciated the bright colors. Pooped on them first. :D

The staples ruined my shredder though. I'm sending Ubi the bill...
