big mod problem

I just reinstalled SH4 with the UBoat Add On. The game runs. However, I have tried to activate mods, including TMO 1.7 to 1,8, and later after abandoning it, TMO 1.9. I am very familiar with JSGME. I did a second install after removing the game, and got the same results. Any suggestions? I am out of ideas.

double check you dont have a double folder thing going on.


put the mod on your desktop and open it, you should see a data folder there. if not then you put the wrong folder in jsgme.

Only thing i can think of is that when you deleted the game for a fresh install? there are still some files somewhere undeleted that are causing a hiccup.
Maybe un-install JSGME aswell... start totally from a clean slate.

I have the Beta 1.7 to 1.8 plus a bunch of mods working now. 1.9 did not work when I tried it 20 minutes ago. The problem with the Beta was the "folder within a folder" issue, precisely WEBSTER's remarkable diagnosis. As I have expressed my sentiments re WEBSTER previously, I repeat them here for those not fortunate to have read them:

i just tested TMO 1.9 and its working fine

check to see if your unziped file is the correct 1.07 GB size and you are using 7 zip to unzip it

you may have a corrupted download so redownload it and you'll be fine :up:

1.9 is finally working fine. It took me awhile to get the files straight.

I just visited Truk Lagoon to check my set up. I tossed in some mods: TMO aft deck guns, TMO alternative sound, TMO M32 Paint, TMO Sample Emblem, Easy Plot, TMO keys (how do I figure out what key goes where?), Coratio's SH4 TrukCarolHarbourCityLocationsn, Hitman's In Game TSAC, Max Optics 3, Easy AoB, and Mr. President's (RR - they voted him in to office anyway) Better Air Patrols, Faster TC Near Land for 1.5, and Reduced Radio Traffiic. I will check with Ducimus and see which of those he has already incorporated into 1.9

My tour of Truk was uneventful (Ducimus' optional mission in 1.9). I singled out a tanker in its berth, and during my set up I noticed that five destroyers had snuck up on me. As usual, I got hammered. The end.

Huh? I made a truk mission? Must be somebody' elses cause i havent made single missions in a long long time. BTW, the TC near land mod you may want. I didn't realize anyone made a mod out of the main.cfg residing in the game directory, i always hand edited the same file in the mydocuments directory. *shrug*.

It's my personal emblem from SH3, i used to slap it on my type 9 with fubar's really weathered skin. (the one with the white paint on the forward part of the conning tower and rust everywhere) Was a great looking combo.

I made a copy of the emblem, bliew it up, and had it printed on my sheets. My poodles think I don't love them anymore.
