Lou Dobbs resigns from CNN (http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/la-et-lou-dobbs12-2009nov12,0,1203905.story)
The outspoken newsman says he has been urged 'to go beyond my role here.' Is politics in his future? The website AllYourTV.com news that the longtime anchor is considering a political bid, perhaps even running for president.
Yay, a principled conservative who is not an ex-beauty queen

I think he did this because of the issue the Mexicans. Something about exposing what illegals do, have done or in the process of doing. Was there not a protest outside of the CNN building a month ago? Meh, just as well...his teeth are too perfect....dentures I bet:haha:

What I am wondering about all the time, Warhawk - what is that candy-doughnut in your sig meant to be?
Let's face it. Any news person who isn't left of center is not going to be welcome at most of the major news networks.

In a surprise move that will please millions of Medicare beneficiaries, President Obama announced plans to cut in half the prescription drug expenses of those who fall into the Part D coverage gap, universally known as the doughnut hole (http://bulletin.aarp.org/yourhealth/medicare/articles/understanding_and_dealing_with_the_coverage_gap_ak a_the_doughnut_hole_.html). They would only pay 50 percent of the cost of brand-name medications in the gap instead of the 100 percent they must pay now.
The new benefit is expected to be part of health care reform legislation that Congress will consider later this fall. If passed, it will likely go into effect in July 2010.
This is what healthcare needs...reduction in out of pocket expenses....Obama donut hole.

"A piece of America to suck on", in the meaning of sucking a "Bonbon" (= candy).

I see. Bonbon, yes, candy. I'm familiar with bonbon:up: So that is it for the sig. Does not mean much more and will probably disappear in a day or so.

Someone should tell that to Joe Scarborough, Pat Buchanan, Michael Smerconish, P.J. O'Rourke and everyone on Fox News.

Yeah. Everyone on Fox News except Geraldo Rivera, Bob Beckel, Alan Colmes, Kirsten Powers, etc. etc. :03:

Mookie, even if you're right that still is just one network out of a dozen leaning the other way. Fox is the exception, not the rule. Doesn't that worry you at all?

What worries me is that Luis Miguel Salvador Aguila Dominguez had been living the last 48 years illegally in the United States under the name Lou Dobbs:
According to the Department of Homeland Security, federal agents stormed the undocumented immigrant's home in an evening raid just hours after the 64-year-old newscaster suddenly announced that he was resigning from CNN, and immediately placed him on an Aeromexico flight departing from Newark Liberty Airport. :rotfl2:

There are vast numbers of people better suited to the (Vice) Presidency than Palin. I'd guess Americans are already viewed as sort of dumb by the rest of the world, and Palin being a national figure doesn't help our image one bit.
