Well as the title says. I,m just wondering why they released the statement that the release of sh-5 if there is no real info for months. I mean it would have been much more a suprisee if they released the statment with loads of information right? I mean i know i keep nagging about the fact that there is so little information and i understand the devs need the time to work on the game but i just cant stand the info blackout lately and i just dont know what the forum is all about lately. I mean they could have said we will be release sh-5 in 2010 but there will be no real concrete info untill at lease december .

In the German Ubisoft SH5 forum, there are two polls.
One poll, whether the forum users would like more SH5 infos, here 60% say "no not interested". The other poll, whether the forum users would buy SH5 on release, here even say 74% "no I do not buy it".

Given to these poll results, even if they might not be representative, I can understand Ubisoft to hold still with further information.

Really? I didnt know that! Hey maybe its german humor or something. But if you werent interested in buying the game or have some sort of interest then what the hell would one be doing on the forum? I bet there all console shoot m up gamers. And it cant be the fact that it features u-boats because there german for crying out loud.

SH3, SH4, and now SH5 - they have always been tight with pre-release info.

On the other hand, they've been pretty good so far about answering questions.

This is simply par for the course....they'll release something when there is something they feel the need to let us know.

Dunno why u guys are going nuts for it... SH5 won't be totally playable in one year.

You have 12 months to kick back, open a beer, and chill out with other games.

I know, this is why i'm not gonna buy a new pc when SHV will come out, i'll wait.

The thing is that i'm really looking foward (and i'm surely not the only one) for some in-game screenshots: periscope view, merchant ships, aircrafts, weather effects, etc.

SH3, SH4, and now SH5 - they have always been tight with pre-release info.

I wonder what is the reason behind all this? :hmmm:

Thats exactly what I mean...

Pictures? Videos? Data?

Its like watching 15 previews of a movie before going to watch it... no surprises!

Im staying out of pictures and previews and details... I just want to start playing when I start playing and get myself happy and excited with all the good surprises.

Just think - some of us have been waiting on Duke Nukem Forever since April 1997. :yeah:

Not on my bookmarks. I just type the address everytime.

And for me, subsim is only for talking to all these fine gentleman over here, about any stuff, laugh and share. But mainly, I come to subsim to check/download/upload mods.

I hope we will be crying with joy when they release some great info . They are probably too busy debugging the game right now .

IF it's really true, what a waste.

But mainly, I come to subsim to check/download/upload mods.

What you're writing is very paradoxical, we can see that you only have 4 downloads and 0 upload in two years.

So to rephrase: ''But mainly, I come to subsim to check.''

But you already said:

Another paradox:

In the same thread you say that they are fine gentleman and say they are going nuts.

ANYWAY, do what you want.

Clearly you don't know squat... Either you're new here or... well, there's no other explanation.
Let me walk you thru... This download/upload status on each person's nickname was implemented some months ago. If it was implemented back in 2007, I would have around 50 uploads, maybe more.

And what a waste of what? Im only saying bookmarks are for lazy. I type the address everyday, cos subsim is the ONLY site I check on everyday. Not even my email I check everyday. This is an amazing community that already become my second family. If I don't check this everyday I would die. (me and Jim, and I know you're reading!:rotfl2: j/k.).

About going nuts... Maybe you got me wrong, I wasnt trying to be harsh or rude, I was just giving them a reason to chill out. I think if we try to entretain ourselves with other stuff, these 3 months will fly much quicker.

I enjoy chatting, debating, even arguing. Every minute browsing between these topics, reading or replying, is always a very good experience. I spent one year away from this and I must say, its pretty hard. Its not about proving me right, proving someone else's wrong, being the king of the hill... Its about sharing, giving and receiving, in this big family that I call my second home.

Sometimes we do lose ourselves into a discussion and we might end up cursing eachother and spending a weekend behind bars. Luckly I've never went so far, but I went pretty close. Nowdays I try to behave myself, even tho sometimes I feel like pointing my guns to somebody else. But in the end we all drink beer and laugh at those meetings, talking about how silly we were back then.

Mate, no harm intended, Im sorry if I bothered you somehow.

Let's say that we are all fine gentlemen who are going a bit nuts when sharing our anticipation of SHV. :DL
