View Full Version : Target distance without the notepad?

In my first attempt to dive into more realism I've just installed 'ACM Reloaded for OLC Mk2d'. But I can't find a way to calculate distance to target using the periscope.

In GWX I used the notepad, but that's nowhere to be found in ACM/OLC.

I'd rather not pull out the calculator or do trig in my head. Is there something in the interface itself that can help me?

Thanks.

Check the OLC mod thread to find links to 2 tutorial movies OLC made for the mod. You have a very useful tool that serves to calculate distance and a few more things, like speed and AOB - the metal ring in your attack periscope. The movies explain it all.

Hmm... there was a link in the first post, but oh well... I'll update the first post on the ACM reloaded thread...
Here's how to use the mod:

Thanks, Karamazovnew.

Is there an explanation somewhere regarding the markings on the Observation scope and the UZO?

Not for the observation scope. Atleast I can't remember. But the numbers near the uzo markings (the irregular ones in the center) must be multiplied by the mastheight to get range in meters.
