Some people claim to have had that experience with GWX. Me, I don't get seasick.

It's the camera's aspect factor. I forget the exact variable name in the camera.dat file, but it effects the camera's perspective. Slightly narrower field of view or make things look more close up. Think of a magnifying lense that rocks back and forth. If you want to try and get people seasick, thats what you fiddle with.

Things might be a little different now that SH5 will be playable in any resolution and widescreen and better graphics.

If not, you can always alt+tab to youtube and watch a disgusting video...

I remember AoTD claimed itself to be so realistic that it would make you seasick.

Mind you, I was impressed when I first saw the rolling waves.

Yeah....was that GXW2.0 or 2.1? :hmmm:

I recall laughing to myself when one of the beta testers first reported the phenomena (being ex merchant navy many years back myself).

I remember booting up the latest beta version a day or two later and wondering.....hang on a minute

SH2 still has IMHO the best rocking thingy of the SH series. In big waves and flank speed it felt awesome to first climb a wave and then come crashing down so that the wave comes just to the edge of the conning tower. Good times. :yep:

Yep, one of the few really good things about SH2. That, and the way the wake rode the waves looked more real for some reason. And the fog...don't forget the fog.
