For those that want it, you can search the forums quickly and more effectively by using your favorite search engine rather than taxing the servers over here. It won't catch the latest stuff, but then you wouldn't be running a search if it was on the first page, now would you?

Follow these links to try it yourself:
Altavista (http://www.altavista.com/web/results?itag=ody&pg=aq&aqmode=s&aqa=&aqp=&aqo=&aqn=&kgs=1&kls=1&dt=tmperiod&d2=0&dfr[d]=1&dfr[m]=1&dfr[y]=1980&dto[d]=29&dto[m]=9&dto[y]=2009&filetype=&rc=dmn&swd=subsim.com&lh=&nbq=10)
Bing (http://www.bing.com/search?q=site%3Asubsim.com&go=&form=QBRE&scope=web&qs=n)
Google (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&as_q=&as_epq=&as_oq=&as_eq=&num=10&lr=&as_filetype=&ft=i&as_sitesearch=subsim.com&as_qdr=all&as_rights=&as_occt=any&cr=&as_nlo=&as_nhi=&safe=images)
Yahoo (http://search.yahoo.com/search?n=10&ei=UTF-8&va_vt=any&vo_vt=any&ve_vt=any&vp_vt=any&vd=all&vf=all&vm=p&fl=0&fr=yfp-t-701&p=test&vs=subsim.com)

Most search engines allow you to specify a domain to search (eg subsim.com) by choosing the 'Advanced Search' option. This limits the search to only the pages within the domain specified. This means that unless you put SH3 or SHIII into your search you could get content from SHIV or other games. However, you get the benefit of all your search engine's features; such as full boolean operators. Happy searching!

Sweet, thanks. Trying to sift through the (rather wideranging) forum search can get tedious sometimes.

Good advice.

The forum search function here at SS has been sideways as long as I can remember.
