The Oasis of the Seas — which rises about 20 stories high — passed below the Great Belt Fixed Link with a slim margin as it left the Baltic Sea on its maiden voyage to Florida.

I feel a full spread of 4 should take of it.... Sailing now:arrgh!:

225,000 gross registered tons. That's a fantastic career total in just one target. Go for it. ;)

That will call Port Canaveral home, in my county of Florida.

I wonder how much renown that would get me??? :smug:

Could I get a Type 212 in SH3 if I bagged that fat cow???:D

Actually, I think he does means Type 212. The uber-silent U-Boats Germany makes now in the present. ;)

You could probably get a lifetime supply of those uber general-purpose torpedo-missiles they're supposed to be making for it with change left over :smug:

I'm from the Port Canaveral area originally. I used to drive by the port every day when I worked on the beach. The land is so flat that you can see the liners from quite a few miles off if you're driving on a bridge, of which there are many. Even the moderately-sized liners look like giants next to the buildings and other shipping. This thing would probably make even those look like midgets.

But, I think it's going to Lauderdale, at least initially. I'm sure Canaveral will see it, eventually.

My mistake. :timeout:

The Disney ship that is coming to Port Canaveral later will actually be bigger than this one.

The Carnival Oasis of the Seas is to be based in Ft Lauderdale's Port Everglades.
