I think we can all agree on the "disorder" part right? That's a given. :yep:

I wonder if she uses a knife and a fork to eat her knives and forks? Or does she *gasp* use her fingers?

Borderline Personality Disorder (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borderline_personality_disorder)
Its a type of personality disorder. From the DSM-IV TR "A personality disorder is an enduring pattern of inner experience and behavior that deviates markedly from the expectations of an individual's culture, is pervasive and inflexible,...,is stable over time and leads to distress or impairment."
Borderline people are highly unstable in virtually all senses (relationships, self-image, etc) and highly impulsive. They also have abandonment issues, and can be suicidal, and self mutilate. People with Borderline Personality Disorder, often also suffer from other personality disorders.
They are people you really want to avoid if at all possible, but they can be difficult to identify. I've known a few in my life who were definite candidates for it, and made the mistake of dating one though I didn't realize it at the time.

To her, knives and forks are finger foods.

If she was smart enough not to ingest her own cutlery, she could still sell it for a profit.
Maybe she was just waiting for the prise of silver to rise before seeing a doctor :hmmm:

You know what's most puzzling about this?
That 77, 76, 75, or 2 pieces of cutlery weren't enough to give her a stomach ache worthy of a doctor visit.

This does kind of remind me of the episode of M*A*S*H where Klinger tried to eat a Army jeep piece by piece in an attempt to secure a section 8 discharge. Did this woman have some unpleasant task she was trying to get out of? ;)

Maybe that was in the movie but I distinctly remember Radar trying that stunt in the TV series (mailing the pieces).

There was an early episode in which Radar was sending a jeep home in pieces. There's a scene where Trapper John and Hawkeye out of suspicion or curiosity put one of the shipping boxes in front of an X-ray machine and you see a steering wheel and other machinery parts. Cue laugh track. ;)

Well we don't know the timeline or rate of consumption, she could have consumed that many in a few days or less.
She is incredibly lucky though that she did not have major complications like rupturing her stomach or intestine.

That post title was misleading at first. I immediately thought she was having that stuff removed from... well maybe I just have a filthy mind.:)
In regards to eating an entire vehicle, I seem to remember reading of a man who did just that. He actually ate a small jet aircraft. He was in the GBoWR.
