Hi ALL MY FELLOW CAPTAINS !
I seem to be having trouble playing SH3 and GWX 3.0.i dont seem to go beyond 25 frame rate and can freeze when i am engaging merchants ?,I do like eye candy in the game, i have listed my specs below so all i need to know is what i need to upgrade, it wont play SH4 either and i doubt if it will ever play SH5

AMD 64 PROCESSOR ,2.4GHZ WITH 2 GIG OF RAM. AND A NVIDIA GEFORCE 6200 WITH 256 MB.
Can i overclock it and how
Will a new vid card make a difference

Hey Simba,

I run an A64 3800+ @ 2.01ghz, 2 gig of ram and a 7950GT. It's your graphics card. Replace it, and it'll be fine for SH3.

I run the 16km atmosphere, and the only stuttering I get is at time compression x1024 when near a convoy or returning to base and coming into range of land. The rest is fine. All I have to do to get around the stutter in these situations is use x512 or x256 time compression.

(Not suggesting the 7950GT by the way, it's way out of date now, just like the rest of our machines!)

Thanks, i had a feeling i would have to replace the card but i find it harder to get AGP 8X cards, so i think its back to ebay for me i will look for what you have in a vid card, the rig is starting to show its age. :wah::wah::wah::wah: like me

Well, put it this way, the 3850 is about twice as fast as my 7950, so you'll be fine.

A good strong option there if you're limited to AGP.
