 Having gotten two semester's training by the Milton Erickson society myself, I know the problem. In Germany, only some possible titles for psychotherapy are protected by law, wheter the legally demanded qualification to gain these titles always holds what it promises, or justifies the costs, is something different. But any other job label featuring the term "psycho" in it can be used by whomever it is. Just that the health insurrance would not pay for it.
It'S a big market, and as usual market makes sure that anything becomes possible as long as it only produces revenues for somebody. That way, even the dishwashing machine of my parents could get qualified for delivering a therapeutic treatment.
P.S. having a cat is confirmed to help battling high blood pressure, btw, so no jokes in bad taste at the cost of that kitty! :)
