Way to go mom:down:
how careless can you be, you either apply these handbrakes (I would think they still have those things on them baby strollers) so if you let go those things wont move at the sudden or you don't let go at all..especially near tracks or roads for that matter.
that baby is extremly lucky:yep:

while i have to agree with this statement i also have to give her the benifit of the doubt.
One split second of inattention and bad things can happen. - nobody is perfect. and nobody can cover every scenario.
I can imagine the sheer panic in her mind when she realised what had happened.

indeed - she was obviously distressed by the event.
no audio though... i would imagine that after a moment you could hear the baby crying - assuring all that it had survived in the very least

true that, we can't predict every scenario to prevent it...
but if you stand 5 M away from a train track with your own 6 month old child in a stroller, Wouldn't you be a bit more thoughtfull like applying these brakes on the baby stroller? or say to yourself you're not letting go of the stroller.
it doesnt require much to spot the obvious risk factors.
well hopefully she learned her lesson the hard way and can praise herself extremly lucky that her kid survived with minor injuries.

seeing that video... she had her head WAY up in her ass for a good 3 or 4 seconds
Whoa, that is one f---ing lucky baby! :o
Glad that Connex is looking after the driver too, though, people tend to forget the other member in these sort of incidents, what he must have felt seeing that rolling onto the track. Sheesh...
Kinda reminds me of this guy

Another lucky escape, drunks and trains do not generally mix...

Well talking about baby strollers
Here in the UK a dad was out with his new girlfriend and with the kids from his previous marriage. They were on a pier and he didn't put the brake on, snogged his girlfriend and plop in went the kids.
Unfortunately one drowned.

I feel bad for the train driver. It must feel horrible to think you almost ran over a little baby.

Unfortunately there are quite a few train drivers who suffer long term
effects from person-under-train incidents.
I used to know a man whose job included body recovery from trains.
Very grim.
man that scared the sh-t out of me :o
good that the baby is fine, and yea its unwise to put a baby car that close to a train

Hand brake....that is what it is there for. Always used it on both my girls when they were in the stroller. I kept my hand on the stroller even with the brake on. But hey, that is just me.
I think she pushed the stroller.....:o

I dont think so. The way she is moving her hands to fix her belt or whatever doesn't look like she pushed. I think she just let go at the wrong time on an incline.

Where's bookworm?
He was in training to be a trainman downunder wasn't he or was it New Zealand?
A baby has had an amazing escape after his pushchair rolled off a station platform and under a train in Australia.
The train had slowed right down as it pulled into the station and the six-month-old baby suffered only a bump to his head.

As a train driver, the worst thing that drivers fear is having something like this happen. You take every caution, but trains don't stop that fast!
Now if it was a vandal or politician on the tracks, full speed ahead!!!!

Maybe it was not an accident?
Perhaps the mother did not want the kid any more and was looking for a quick lawsuit to fund her new life?
World is full of sucky people willing to do sucky things. :nope:
Let's hope someone is keeping a casual eye on this mother.

I hope they are not!
You grounds for suspicion are baseless in fact. Cynicism is nowhere near
enough grounds for state surveillance against someone who has no
evidence of foul play against her.

No, just driving a train home of people who had! Still have another three months to go in training. It has been interesting to say the least! I have had more things happen to me than some 40 year veterans! Should be let loose by myself from late January onwards.
BTW Drinking is a big no no, I can be subjected to a random alcohol and drug test at any time!:()1:
