No big deal just a small rant..

Last night I lined up a medium composite like Ive done dozens of times before.

Stern tube shots two x Mk14's nice and close inside of 1,500 feet.

First torp strikes Kaboom, splash wooo hooo ! :woot:

Second torp strikes and HOLY SMOKES ! :o they must have been carrying nitro glycerin or something because the ship bounced up out of the water, split in half and a HUGE fireball, then settled back down in two pieces ! WOW never seen anything llike that ! I'm telling you the ship was nearly vaporized. Took another minute or two for the two halves to sink. Quite a show.

Cleeeeeearly the torpedo didn't cause it to sink...it was the enormous explosion of their cargo... :hmmm::doh:

Let's hope thay doesn't happen in SH5. :yep:

At least it sank. I have to admit I don't play SH4 that much.

To much ocean travel to action. And I don't like to use more than 256 tc. Afraid I'll miss something.

With Rafaels new Gui mod I have everything I want in GWX.

So I don't miss SH4 and I don't care now when SH5 is released.

Meh it was an easy shot they came to me all I had to do is sail about 2 miles into position and wait.

This came after a string of about 8 sinkings that I did get credit for.

when the second mk-14 hit, the ship split in two with the explosion

With Mk14's I always fire at least two and quite often three.

I've had the same thing happen with DD's. Blew a screw off one, slid in underneath him to hide from the subchasers that were part of the 3 ship convoy he was leading. They eventually gave up the hunt but sat close by probably listening to their hydrophones for my screw noises.

Slipped to 1k yards off the DD's bow, took the shot. Lifted the DD clear of the water. When it settled after the huge fireworks she was in 2 pieces. Of course I was slipping away so I watched it all unfold on the external cam. Good times.
