I got accepted to the maritime faculty :know:(college for our american friends) in Portoroz-Portorose Slovenia. I am beggining my studies for a future legendary sailor and great traveler, joining the ranks of Ibn Battuta, James Cook and Balz :arrgh!:

I will post some of my adventures and mishaps on the forum as I make my travels with my traveling. But in the mean time I will remain a humble boatbuilder and a quiet visitor to the forum

One cannot be a great traveler until one has travelled greatly

Best of luck...you'll probably need it if your going to be associated with Balz :DL

Great news, Betonov!

You have chosen great examples to mold yourself after, especially Balz, the glorious traveler.

Indeed, great travelers are formed by great travel, which is a great travel incentive to greatnes in travel. :D:D:D

thanks everyone, I'll keep you informed of my more interesting adventures

planned for 2010: euro trip with a 12 year old clio fidji
balkan trip (Ljubljana-Istanbul) with a 22 year old VW golf II
one sailing trip on the adriatic

planned for 2011: world trip, round the world by all means except airplanes

but still, the most interesting will be those unplanned travels which have a tendency to spring to my mind quite often
