November 1942,

U-95 Reports sinking of the Queen Elizabeth (87 490 tons liner), 3 torpedoes fired. 1 magnetic pistol set for 14m, hit middle of the ship, 1 impact pistol set for 10m, hit under first mast and another impact pistol, set for 8m, hit halfway to the stern.

Dived to 170m to evade 3 angry destroyers (56 depthcharges detonations heard) forward deck destroyed, flooding in the crew quarters and radio room. Repairs made and we made it back home ! Patrol tonnage : 100 298 tons.

(God this ship was SO huge, the larges merchants around him looked like toys, not even worth mentionning the coastal freighters. GWX 3.0 100% realism, epic moment... biggest ship sunk to this day for me):ping:

Grats :) I've never seen a liner, not yet anyway.

Are there any bigger targets in GWX than that?

Too bad i dont have the free cam enabled, i couldnt watch it sink, just hear him. (lots of explosions tho)

The liner was armed with what appeared to be 150mm guns at the bow and a couple of 20mm on the deck. I wonder how many people could have been aboard? Sadly sh3 commander don't support this ship for the patrols logs so it was just named PPE, 87 490 tons...

Intercepted in a convoy going 4 knots west of ireland.
