I tried COMODO several times all different version and so far it's been a let down. It causes system instability, crashes and blue screen crashes to my Vista x64.
Can anyone suggest a safe and excellent free registry cleaner for Vista x64?
There are so many and I would rather not try to experiment when the stake is reinstalling the OS.

really, I just found about Comodo, and I think it is one of the best I have seen in awhile. You could try spybot S&D

COMODO Internet Security(CIS) is terrific but their system cleaner a bit dangerous. when they work the result is AMAZING though. But they often lead to continuous rebooting, blue screen crashes, freeze and stuffs like that.
CIS is terrific and I'd recommend that to anyone but CSC(System cleaner) well I try to avoid that until somebody can assure me that is is perfectly safe.

Just use CCleaner, it works and it's free. No issues to date, never heard anyone complain about it.

COMODO's system cleaner must be one of the most powerful registry cleaner. Sadly it's one of the most unsafe too in my experience.
I know CCleaner is popular. Though I don't think the registry cleaner is as powerful as COMODO's at least it probably is safer.

When it comes to registry cleaners, popular is a good way to go; cleaners that regularly mess up systems are never popular. :)
But no, it's not on the level of efficiency as some others. I'm just glad I found something that doesn't mess up.
Reg Mechanic has always been my favorite, and never a problem using it.
