These guys play popular S.T.A.L.K.E.R. video game for real. They on purpose go to the Chernobyl area of the nuclear disaster explosion site dress in Stalker themed cloths and play, even involving armored vehicles and real guns. And that’s all just a few yards away from the disaster site, the place where there is still a high dose of radiation in the soil.

This year they have better hardware, better costumes - just like a real thing. Coming from different parts of Russia and other countries just to participate or see this with their own eyes

Oh, btw I'm currently playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl with AMK-EN 2.0. Invisible anomalies are not fun. :o

Well you can go on holiday to pripyat nowadays.
But the first thing the guides tell you is do not sit down or lie down on the ground, where the radiation levels are the highest.

These guys seem to have ignored that statement:dead:

wow that film looks fantastic. Funnily enough I'm currently in the process of making a film, but it's only inspired by games like STALKER and Fallout 3 - a kind of post apocalyptic zombie horror lol.

I'm confused. On the forum that deals with AMK I read that 2.0 will be released Fall 2009 (which I interpret as December) so you happen to use a beta or something?

AMK 2.0 will be out soon. Its only for the Russian communities. As Far As I know there won't be an english version.. But that not written in stone so who knows? :D

There game will be freeplay which makes a good base platform for many other mods.

:dead:I hope we do see an english version. AMK was a pretty good mod. AMK 2 would get me to play stalker again.

AMK 2.0 will be multi-language, Russian, English, and German, too. Quite dead serious.

In this summer or fall we are going to release a new version of our mod - AMK 2.0, and finally there will be official english translation. During now we creating new scripting architecture of mod and re-making from scratch almost all scripts.
