Getting a new boat

It's been forever since I played either SH3 or SH4, but the last month I've been playing them like crazy and even got my fiancee hooked. Well, I remember all of SH3 but I never got a chance to explore SH4 to closely, but I have a question. How do I get a new boat? I'm on my 9th Patrol with my S-boat, I've sunk 80,000 tons in 90% realism (only external view allowed), and even got the Medal of Honor, after which I declined the Annapolis gig. But I'm kinda wanting a fleetboat now. Is it like SH1 where at the end of a patrol a dialog box pops up offering one? Thanks!

Thanks!If you continue making good patrols you should eventually when returning to port get a screen asking you if you want a new boat. Just have patience and the time will come you'll be riding the seas in your brand new Balao:up:

Justin, I'm guessing that since youre in an S-Boat you are in the Asiatic fleet. If this is so a transfer to Pearl will I think get you a fleet boat. If you dont wish to transfer well youre gonna have to wait. Asiatic always ran far behind Pearl in getting new equipment.

Perhaps saving up a load of Renown will help speed this up. May make the transfer easier too. Every time I check the transfer phone it tells me "NO!" :-?
