Looks cool Ill have to give it a try over the weekend.

I about wore out my old wizzy I'll be interested in this.

Might want to point out that alt/tabbing can lead to erratic behaviour in SH4 ;)

There have been many reports of the following

If you shell out of the game (alt tab) while submerged the Co2 levels will continue to rise even while surfaced.

This can be remidied by saving the game and re-starting.

Like all the other seemingly un-explainable save game bugs and the like it varies from one system to the next.

Ive never experienced it myself but again there have been many reports of it.

Just wanted to give a heads up.

Havent had a chance to try this applet yet but looking foward to it. :salute:

When you do, let me know how it performs on your system. I tried it on one machine that had onboard video, and it was abit sluggish.. but on my gaming rig it worked well even when maximized on a 1680x1050 display.

I didn't go the C++/DirectX route from the get go because i dont have those tools currently installed.. and C# is just way quicker for getting small apps up and running in the blink of an eye. The program only took about an hour start to finish.

Ditto to gutted's observation about alt-tab. I've had the CO2 thing whether or not I've alt-tabbed out of the game. I think a lot of mythology grows from random effects, relating to game saves, CO2 problems, etc.

Unless someone can demonstrate a solid cause and effect relationship, I don't think anything is gained by advice, such as "never save in sensor range of any contact, when submerged, within x miles of a port or when not facing Mecca." It just scares away new players and helps no one because it's all a virtual maritime myth.:D

yeah, i save underwater and near convoys sometimes.. and never had any issues.

anyway.. enough about that.

edit:

I got it and runs fine I put it on my second screen with no noticable reduction in performance.

Good job !

Well seeing as how its not a mod, i figured this was the better forum for it.

Also, this program is obsolete now. Use the "Solution Solver" isntead:

it IS a mod. It may not modify the game code itself, but it 'modifies' the game by enhancing the experience. Therefore.. a mod! :O:
