Where can I purchase and download SH4 ver 1.5

I started playing silent Hunter 4 patched to 1.4 approx. a month ago but now want to purchase the Uboat add on version 1.5.
I presently live in South Africa and can only find stores etc. that provide support and downloads for Canada and America.

Any Help will be appreciated.

I would also like to thank everyone on the forums for all the information and mods that make this wonderful game even more enjoyable.

I went on the amazon web site but there seems to be no way to purchase a downloaded version of the upgrade.
I also tried Direct2drive but if you don't live in Canada etc you can't purchase the download.

What other options do I have?

Thank You very much for the help. I see there is a European site Gamesload.de that also offers the downloaded version.
The only problem the site language is German and I also don't know whether this site offers the download outside Europe.

I hope someone can come up with another solution.

You can get it at ubi.com

under the genres bar look for simulation then scroll till you find Silent Hunter 4 U-Boat add-on that should get you there.

Does this expansion have to be applied to a clean version of SH4? I'm running TM on my SH4.

you have to uninstall all of your mods before you install v1.5

its always best to just do a new install unless you are sure your game is completely clean and there is no chance that any modded or otherwise changed files are present.

when uninstalling the game make sure to open your documents folder and delete any remaining sh4 folders and open your main file directory for sh4 and delete any remaining sh4 or ubisoft folders found there

Thanks for the help but I still have no idea how to get a downloadable version on the u boat mission add on. UBISoft and D2D have it but wont allow me to download the file as I do not live in the USA,Canada or Mexico.I have searched the internet and keep on hitting a brick wall. There are other sites for eg. in Denmark but they are also limited to selling the download to their immediate area.

I have tried locally here in South Africa and have no luck.
The way things are going it seems I will have to just carry on using the patched version 1.4. It would have been great if I could have added the U boat missions and downloaded the magnificent add on mods associated with ver 1.5.

i steer clear of downloadable version of games, especially from steam.

the problem with steam is that if you are left without an internet connection for one reason or another, you cant play it. The only games i own that require steam are actual valve games that i could not otherwise play without it.

As for other sites (such as direct2drive) where you download it and dont need to connect to play... they usually lag well behind the retail version when it comes to patches. They use a modified version of the game's .exe file and require seperate patching.

since 1.5 is probably the last patch, you shouldn't have that problem (if you can find a site that is).

Hi, I recieved my UBoats add on yesterday.
Now having version 1.5 I decided to download TMO1.7 and the neccessary hotfix and patches. It was a shocking suprise to see how much better the game looks and runs. I would like to congratulate everyone involved in modding especially Ducimus for all the effort he has put in.
Can not wait for the final version of TMO1.8.:salute:

Everything runs smoothly except for two commands.
CRTL B (Repeat last report )and Shift N ( Nearset warship sound contact)
If I try and use these commands "Yes Sir....." is repeated about 50 times before the crew member actually shows me\tells me what i want to know.

I had a look at the Command.cfg file and these two commands are shown Below:

MnId = 0x3f26002
Key0 = 0x42,c,"CTRL B"

MnId = 0x3f26004
Key0 = 0x4e,s,"SHIFT N"

What could be causing the repeat "yes Sir!!!!! Problem?

Any help will be appreciated.
