Has anyone seen any problems with older games installed on a Win7 64 bit machine? I've heard a lot of people say this could cause problems but have not heard anything specific.Specifics would be nice if anyone has any.

The only issues I've have been seeing with win7 is that old or new is there copy protection. Many game have old copy protection that can hinder your game experience. There is ways around it of course...

New games aren't supported by win7 yet.. A company will make every excuse in the book to avoid helping you..

Old games well there old.

But they all work.. i have many games old and new.. Some work with one install right off the bat. Other times there are some tweaking to do..

Always remember not to do default install location if your using 64bit os.

UAC can be a bitch..

Install into a bogus directory like GAMES\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 3\

Etc..

I've wrote some articles on the how to's with Win7.

You can find it in Ubisoft tech sh3 site. Also the principle is the same for every game.. Some good common sense and trial and error can help.. :)
