i think it would be cool if after taking a bearing/range reading either through scope's stadimeter or via radar or sonar... you can call up some kind of "mark" command to have an X plotted on the map for you with a time stamp.... to simulate being the commander and calling it out to some other shmuck to plot it.
gets old jumping from station to station to do everything myself.
oh.. and get rid of that awful notepad. if you're going to put controls in the scope view.. atleast let me set the item directly (.ie speed), or if you keep the scratchpad thing.. let me be able to update the TDC with any one piece of info (like in SH3), and not clear out everything i've done in the TDC when i clear the scratchpad.
seriously.. the pad in SH3 was mostly usable, would have been better if i could adjust the speed manually in it.. but it was usable for entering ranges after i already dialed in the speed manually. but in SHIV UBM.. it was simply unusable. could no longer input just a range by itself and not have everything you've done porked. not providing a value in the pad caused that dial to go to 0. and clearing the pad reset your whole solution.
imo though, that screen real-estate would be better used for the actual TDC dials, so you dont have to constantly jump between Attack Map and Scope views.
