GWX3.0 Snorkel upgrade question

What date does snorkel become available for IXC?

According to upgrades chart and snorkel should be available before Bold 2. Already have Bold 2 installed but no snorkel....
Do you have to be in specific port?

As far as I'm aware, it was a retrofit to IXC's from 1943.

The Upgrades chart in GWX 3 graphically represents the first availability of each item. As you have found, not every boat was offered the upgrade at the same time, I could not account for different dates for the same equipment when creating the chart, it would have been too cluttered. Already the Boats overlap each other and it annoys me. But hey ho!

In reality, probably only a few IXC and IXC/40 boats were fitted with snorkels.

Remember that the Snorkel has a very large radar signature - so use it sparingly, otherwise those pesky brits will be onto you like moths to a flame:arrgh!:
