But to answer quickly, it was meant to be released in 2006, then Oleg decided to not release it (I think they changed the engine). The last hints from Oleg himself were that IF all goes as planned it would be released in summer 2009. Well, of course something went wrong and now we are without any idea of it's possible release date.

Take a dart and throw it at a 2011 calendar, whatever date it hits, it won't be released until then, probably...

Or take the 2012 calendar and ingore anything you hear from the developers about when it will be released, circle a date in 2012 and go to the pub on that date to celebrate the lack of release of the game.

don't rush Oleg i don't want a second game like arma II that sucks becouse they diden't took the time to finish it proper

Flight models in IL2 were less than impressive. Unless Oleg changes his method of flight modelling, this next sim won't be anything to get excited about.

HunterICXCFS3 Has much better flight modelling than IL-2 but thats just my opinion.:yeah:

Yes CFS3 has better flight modeling and damage modeling and more weapon selections than IL-2 does but IL-2 has better graphics.

nah 60 years later Oleg ghost will say that storm of war is going to be released after all of us that live today in 2009 died.
