So I have downloaded and installed SH4 and the expansion through steam. I then downloaded JSGME and RSRD along with TMOv170 and the hotfix. I was reading the JSGME help info about where to put the mods and it tells me to go SH4>data>documents>then make the mods folder, however there are two SH4 folders on my computer. One folder is documents>SH4>data and the other is steam>steamapps>common>sh4>data. Neither have a document folder so I might be reading the instructions wrong. Can someone please help clear this up for me.

also when I open JSGME it shows that it's in C:\Users\name\downloads\MODS. So is it looking for them there or do I need to move this folder into my game folder or just drag drop the mods into that folder where it is

I have a steam version too, and am runnin' TMO too.

When you first install JSGME it will run and set up a folder called MODS right? Make sure you don't install the MODS folder anywhere but here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\silent hunters wolves of the pacific (I am running Vista 64 so your path may not start with x86)

NOTin the data folder.

install the TMO and other mods in the new MODS folder using JSGME.

yep, you cannot enable any mods in patrol.

You enable the mods through JSGME... as soon as you start up the game again, it should load with a black and white photo and new start up video (and say TRIGGER MARU OVERLOADED).

You can't continue a campaign, but you can start any new mission now and know that TMO is operative. Being IN GAME and IN OFFICE doesn't do anything outside of what it did in the regular stock game...it's for setting options and such...not enabling mods.

AGAIN... if the game doesn't load with TMO screenie than something didn't work in the JGSME enabling of it. You'll know right away.

Yeah it's still not working...not sure what's going on. When I open generic mod enabler it says under the title C:\users\name\downloads\MODS. It keeps putting the folder there on install. I move it where you told me to in the sh4 folder and drop the mods in and then add them to the programs list and enable and it moves them to a MODS folder in my downloads again.

When I enable the mods it takes a bit showing a loading bar then says they are enabled but when I start the game up no new pic or vid, gameplay is the same. have tmo and the hot fix, so far i have been enabling them both, not sure If i am supposed to go ahead and put hotfix in with original also using rfb and real environment.

If anyone has any pointers please lemme know, I love this game and want to get it going.

WOOT got it working. One last question and I am sorry for having to bother everyone about this crap that they have had to deal with before, I have RSRD mod but I am seeing some downloads that have that and trigger maru included. Do I just enable the one I have or download the versions with trigger on them. Also saw one with RFB mod so I am just confused on if I need to download these special versions of rsrd with the other mods already on them or if i can just run the latest rsrd by itself and it will work with the other mods

Well, I don't know if they're compatible... If you've got TMO running, I would try that out for a patrol or two and see what you think. Honestly, it's such a good mod, you may not need the others for some time!
Don't forget the TMO incorporates many of the already released smaller mods into this one... it's comprehensive. So you get better looking environments, sinking physics, AI behaviour, historic fleet movement, etc.

:salute:

RSRD is compatiable with TMO, as it is with RFB. If you read the first post on the mod's page of whatever mod, it will give you the correct order including patches.

They have a version of RSRD that works with each supermod like TMO. You must run the correct version for it to work. Mod's are different, so it's not a one size fit's all.
