Hi thanks for reading. I am playing a campaign on SH4 version 1.4 and I have been assigned "Patrol Korea Strait".

The area I must patrol has been marked on the map, so I go there. I spend at least 5 days motoring around the area and sinking ships. I have sunk a total of 6 merchant ships within 100km of the area marked on the map, 2 of which were within 20 miles of the marked area.

Still the mission is "incomplete".

I click the "search pattern" button and have completed the search pattern. I have reported a contact to HQ as well as sent status update to HQ. I'm out of ideas now.

How do I complete this mission?

THANKS

Sorry no one got back to you sooner.

Here is Beery's Guide "How to complete a mission"

In your case Im assuming its a 'remain on station' you have to remain within a certain radius (typically 100 miles) for a period of time (varies).

Tonnage sunk is not a requisite.

However know that if you stray outside that radius even briefly, the timer resets.

Im guessing you wandered outside the region to chase down a target.

But dont fret. Even without completing the mission with the action you saw you will recieve renown.

Not completing a mission is not a game stopper by any means. Often (playing with RFB) the mission is far removed from the real action and I never even go there. ;)

It also depends if your using the stock game or some mods. If you use the RBF mod mostly it gives you an area to patrol for at the most 96 hours (approx 3 days) and in TMO if given an area to patrol its normally based of natical miles and tonnage sunk before the patrols are over.

In stock 1.4 you have to be within 50 miles of the star and either sink 10,000 tons or stay 48 hours depends on what type of star, with a flag or binoculars.
You must stay in the 50 Nm. for the full time, If you go outside it you must start the time over again.

I think, been so long I'm not too sure. :06:
