Since I own an Evo X MR, I thought I'd share this article from the New York Times:

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/06/automobiles/06AUTO.html

:ahoy:

If I had the money (donations gladly accepted :D), I'd have the Nissan GT-R. I think it's simply the best proper car on the road today.

My old Austin Mini isn't exactly fast but it's a real chick magnet and costs barely 1/10th of any of the cars in the article :D

Plus, nothing handles like a Mini!

Believe me going more than 90mph is no fun on a Autobahn. You have always slow cars blocking you and you have to be very careful not to crash into someone who just pulled over to your lane. So going faster than 90 is something I would consider dangerous and irresponsible towards the other guys on the road. Remember it's a public street with plenty of traffic.

End of the moral lesson of the day.:D

yes... but what about at 1 oclock in the morning... and have it where you couldnt go under 100mph... which would get the old ladys off the road, and the 18 wheelers dont go that fast... so that counts them out. pluss the older cars that barely reach 90...

Also, don't forget there is always someone who is faster then you. Getting over into the right lane can be problematic at times when you are allready (on your own estimate) flying low and fast.

Ah you mean the time when the deer are active. Good luck evading one when it crosses your lane.

Don't know what you mean with that. There is no minimum speed of 100mph anywhere. Minimum speed for the Autobahn is 60km/h (40mph).

and the 18 wheelers dont go that fast... so that counts them out.
Yet they keep overtaking each other and if you come flying in at 120+ you might be in for a very nasty surprise when one pulls over onto your lane because he saw you half a mile away as a tiny dot in his mirror (that became very quickly larger).

pluss the older cars that barely reach 90...You will have a hard time finding cars here that can't go 90. besides even if they are slower they are still in your way aren't they?

1... the deer are veary rare in this region... they are out west... like in suffolk...

2... my rule on are non existant autobahn...

3... the 18 wheelers could take the interstate...:yep:

4... there are alot of old heavy cars from the 1970-80 that cant hit 100... my parents use to have one... (peice of s*** it was.)

or if you could find a racetrack over here with the magical right hand turn no one has heard of... lol

Nah, I love the autobahn, particularly in the evening. Drove there with a new BMW 1-series this summer, and it was sweet. Roof down, warm breeze and 120mph with very little traffic.:yeah:
