You know it's all relative. China used to be and in many ways still is very very much on the left of the spectrum and have had a pretty booming business environement for some time.
As for small entreprenours I have nothing but sympathy, it's when the big fellas begin to step on the collective toes of the people that my ire is raised. I actually found some of the questions to be not precisely enough. For example the one whether first generation immigrants can integrate into a new country. I've seen both sides. 3rd generation "Germans" that still don't speak the language properly and first generation Germans from for example Poland where you couldn't tell the difference to the native population except for a slight polish accent (still way better than some of the 3rd generation guys from a certain country). So I guess I should be a bit more to the right side than is displayed on this chart.:O:

Questions like "Do you like pollution" of course the vast majority will say no.
Where as questions like "Do you think global warming is a 'real' issue" will get answers from both ends of the spectrum.

btw, I did not like the question:
A significant advantage of a one-party state is that it avoids all the arguments that delay progress in a democratic political system.
Well, I had to agree here. It's a simple system, whether it is a faschist or communist system. Anyone disagreeing in this system will be shot or locked away for ever. There is no delay of process, not much to speak of, that is...
But I do not agree that it is the best system. Lousy question... :nope:
Some other questions were a bit stupid too. And there is no center option of "neither agree or disagree".

That aside, I have had discussions with people who think that corporations
shouldn't be forced to compromise their own interests to benefit any other

It's an extreme position to take, but not one no one takes.

Ha ha ha....too bad I didn't get to be right in the middle. One of my brothers claims there is no such thing as a centrist, either your left or right.
There are only two ways to be a centrist:
1) Intentionally play the middle, refusing to take one side or the other (which both sides like to call "fence-sitting").
2) Take every issue separately. The same defense of liberty gets me labelled a "Righty" where guns, economics and government-run anything are concerned and a "Lefty" when it comes to abortion and gay rights. Hence, depending on the questions, I usually show up somewhere near the middle.
So I'm not really a Centrist, I just play one on TV.
Not so much with the 'Authoritarian' vs 'Libertarian' question.
