XVIII "Walter boats"

I've got the u boat addon but can't select the XVIII u boat only the IX D2 in the capaign menu, i've tried all bases and years 1943, 1944, penang, Singapore, batavia and Surabaya but still can't find it.

Do you have to sink a certain amount of tonnage before you unlock it or something ?

Theres a tonnage requirement, dont know how much. Havent played the Uboat addon too much.

But its not listed under the IX D2 anywhere in the u boat campaign start menu.

I've heard an arbitrary number of 30k Renown somewhere. But if you really want it there's a mod that makes it available from the start.

Yup, IIRC you will be offered it as soon as you hit 30k Renown.

jsgme ready means you just have to put it in jsgme and activate it

once you download from the link, go to the silent hunter 4 folder then go data, upcdataGe, then UPCC campaign data and then extract the folder here (using winrar), once done that go into the folder you extracted and go through the subfolders until you find the actual file (career start upc) , cut that and paste it in the UPCC campaing data and when it asks you if you want to replace the file click yes.
And you have your walter.:DL:salute:
