It was just mentioned to me by our esteemed speaker, “Did anyone say anything about the Cuban health system?”
And lemme tell ya, before you say “Oh, it’s a commu–”, you need to go down there and see what Fidel Castro put in place. And I want you to know, now, you can think whatever you want to about Fidel Castro, but he was one of the brightest leaders I have ever met.

Gorbachev is widely regarded as doing much to open the gates of democracy for the former USSR.

Yes of course.. I know Regan had little to do with that.

But still I see a trend, not only in political circles but in (as you posted) 'music' and pop art.

That was done, IIRC, for the game Stalin vs Martians :03:

And the way I see that video is Gorbachev bringing Russia out of the shadow of Stalin and the hardline Communist leaders of the past. Something which has not made him entirely popular in some parts of Russia IIRC, but personally, I liked him. :yep:
