Hello everyone. I'm reinstalling SH4 along with the U-Boat missions expansion that I purchased a while ago. I have the urge to play once again but I have a problem.

It's been so long since I played last I am not sure which mods to use.

Can someone please give me advice on which mods I should be downloading and installing with SH4 and the U-boat expansion?

I would very much appreciate this.

Thanks.

It's a toss up between RFB or TMO for the base megamod. RSRD has been enjoyable as a campaign. Fall of the Rising Sun is supposed to have lots of graphical improvements but several kinks to work out. Operation Monsun is the only Atlantic campaign out that I know of.

I remember playing the TMO before and enjoyed it so I'll do that one. Also a couple more questions.

1. If I install TMO, can I install RSRD after?

2. What do you mean by "Atlantic campaign", and can I install Operation Monsun along with TMO and RSRD?

Thanks.

Yes, you can install RSRD after TMO, just follow the directions in the mods.

With each mod, you just need to look at the first page and it will explain what you can install it with. You can install OM, but not after a supermod.
You can install it with RSRD. Just go to the OM mod thread and it will explain it all...don't forget to read the readme that usually comes with all mods in a support folder. I assume you know where the mod forum is, but here's the link. All the mods are stickys at the top.

OM completely overhauls the stock UBM German campaign. It adds most other U-Boot types (like the VII and IX) and changes the base theatre of operations to the atlantic. If you want to play on the german side this mod is a must-have.
You can install it after TMO/RFB.

Guys, what are RFB, TMO, and RSRD ?

Well, they almost sound like veneral diseases, but they are supermods that totally change the game to make it more realistic. RFB and TMO are supermods that change gameplay. You only want to run one supermod. RSRD is a supermod of sorts, but you can add it to the above mods. It changes the way ships function, giving more accurate convoys and Task Force and realistic and historical function.

Go to the mod forum and you will find a sticky for each. Alway be careful what you download and check mods for compatability.
