Have W7 installed on my computer. Did so a couple of month ago.

Have tried to install some of my old 98 and some old XP games

Almost everyone is playable, but all my new games such as SHIII doesn't work at all.

Right now I'm playing good old CoD and MOHAA and Fleetcommand(only stockversion works not with NWP 19.01)

Wird indeed.

That is odd - I had all kinds of issues with older 95/98 games, while new stuff worked great.

Are there specific errors that you get with the games?

In SHII there's problem with starforce(as usual) but there's no patch
SHIV works kinda okey but it's lots of lag and freezes now and then
FarCry2 same here but the graphics seems all weird now and then.

Actually the latest official patch removed starforce. The problem is that you have to install the game and then patch it. And since it will not let you install it in the first place you're back to square one.
Why don't you buy one of the the budget editions of SH III ? 5-6 $ it should cost and it will have already been patched.
